WHY DOES EVIL EXIST IN

THIS WORLD?

INTRODUCTION.

One of the most lingering questions bordering humanity today concerns the problem of evil in this world. What is its purpose? Why does it exist? What lessons do we need to learn from it? Will it ever go away? The puzzle of evil's existence goes on.

Almost everyone has faced one ugly situation or another at the hands of evil. Sometimes, this evil may come from natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, floods, droughts, famine, or fires. But it may also come from our fellow humans. In fact, the most frequent causes of evil are from our fellow humans.

Why is there evil in the world if God really exists? Why is he not doing anything about it? Why can’t he eradicate evil altogether?

First, let’s define evil.

DEFINITION OF EVIL: The word evil is associated with numerous actions or behaviours. Some of these are Wickedness, Malevolent, Sin, Malicious, Criminal, Nasty, Unpleasant, Disgusting, Obnoxious, Immorality, Impious, Heinous, Nefarious, Fiendish, murder, torment, ill-treatment, robbery, thief, and injustice, among others.

Despite, the dreadful nature of these behaviours, why does God still humans the free will and the capacity to do evil. Why does it still exist among us?

We shall find out why God allows evil in this world, why evil people prosper, why they are rich, and why people fancy evil and find it attractive.

We shall go further to explore why evil characters are able to seduce and attract an audience, and lastly the reward for evil at the end of this age, in the day of the harvest and judgment of this world. This will help us to remain faithful to the ideals of righteousness, despite the dummy effect of the good rewards of evil, and the illusion of evil always winning in many cases.

Conniving and conforming to evil will fast-track your attainment in life, but this is not a long-lasting measure. There will be a setback at the end.

The problem with using evil as a principle or tool of growth is that in the end, it is a complete waste of time and an unimaginable debt of karma.

The end of all unrepentant evil deeds and actions is the lake of fire. We can only escape this punishment by paying off the karma, sometimes with unimaginable suffering, and a firm commitment to abandon evil as a way of life before we are left off the hook.

The moment we realize that righteousness is the only basis of our continued existence and growth, then we have stepped on the road to God and eternal life.

Let us look at how people describe the basis for the existence of evil.

HOW PEOPLE DESCRIBE THE JUSTIFICATION FOR EVIL

How do people describe God’s tolerance for evil in this world? Some people see evil as a necessary tool for our training and testing. Yet for others, it is a means of instilling discipline and drawing us closer to God.

People often wonder why the human race gives its ears to evil characters. Why does the evil become so rich? Why do evil people prosper for instance, while the righteous suffer in misery?

Before we go to the main reasons, here are five reasons people deduce for the continued existence of evil in this world.

EVIL AS A TEST OF FAITH

Some people focus on our suffering through the evil done to us as a test of faith so that we can be justified to receive the incorruptible riches that God has reserved for us as the elect: 1 Peter 1:2. Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

This trial is intended to enable us to withstand corruption in the face of evil and against all hardships as described in 1 Peter 1: 7, That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

For example, when Jesus appointed the twelve disciples as future judges for the twelve tribes of Israel, Lucifer immediately set the stage to test one of the appointees he knew was a coward.  Luke 22:28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. 29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. 33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

This trial became necessary for Peter as a judge because God commanded that judges must have fearless qualities.

Deuteronomy 1:16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him. 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be afraid of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it.

God allows this evil so that we can be counted worthy to receive that which is due us. 1 Peter 1:  4. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, 6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

SUFFERING DRAWS US CLOSER TO GOD

Some people see suffering as a mechanism that God uses to draw us closer to Himself. Really? This is not true. The state protects children from abusive parents by removing them from their care and putting them in foster homes. If God uses evil to draw us closer to himself who then will come to our aid? This argument has no Biblical foundation, rather God puts the arrogant under evil, so that they may be humbled. This is the basis of the next reason.

EVIL AS A FORM OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION

Isaiah 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. 12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

This was the case with Sennacherib king of Assyria who boasted against God concerning king Hezekiel. Isaiah 37:23 Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel. 24 By thy servants hast thou reproached the Lord, and hast said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel.

EVIL AS AN ACT OF GOD’S MERCY

Some people see evil as an act of God’s mercy to the wicked. Thus, God may allow the wicked to live and have a chance to repent and be of good works.

This is the case with the angels that rebelled against God and left their first love, their first estate. but God gave them a second chance to repent as we can see in the book of Revelation. Revelation 2:1 Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3 And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.

6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

WHY EVIL EXIST IN THIS WORLD

EVIL AS A PATH TO SALVATION

Some people rightly state that the evil we go through is a path to salvation. This may be shocking, but it is true. Why is this so?

The divine plan is that after God has redeemed us through Christ, he will surrender us to (Lucifer, the devil), to evil as a test, to weed out those who still succumb to evil.

God does this to strengthen the flock, much like prey animals kill and weed off weak animals in a flock, leaving behind a healthy stock that passes on their genes to the next generation of animals. We can find this in Micah 5: 1-5.

The first part of this passage is God’s charge to the Virgin Mary as the mother of God’s children in 735 BC to organize mothers into virtuous women’s groups to protect their offspring from the coming evil, even against Christ. This is what led to the formation of the Girl’s Guide and the Women’s Guild.

This is how God charged the virgin Mary. Note one of her many names in the Old Testament. Micah 5:1 Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.

The second part of this passage is about the ancient of old, our coming ruler, the judge of Israel who shall come, first as the messiah,

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

The next part of the passage is about Christ surrendering us to Lucifer after he has redeemed and sanctified us. From now onwards, Christ works for us behind the scenes to keep us clean as he did to Peter above. So, whoever remains clean is chosen.

Let's see how God scripted this in the Bible. Micah 5:3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. 4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now, shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

So, in spite of all circumstances, you are never alone, for Christ or his agents are with you, even unto death.

The last part of this passage tells us that Christ is the only way to God. And we shall raise up against Lucifer, the head angels, the keys and the rewards of the seven churches of God, into which we shall be raptured.

Micah 5:5 And this man shall be the peace when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.

Let us look at other reasons for the existence of evil in this world, and why God does not seem to respond instantly when evil is inflicted on us.

UNDERSTANDING WHY EVIL IS AMONG US IN THIS WORLD

The plain fact is that we need to exist in the presence of evil in order to know it, for it may come from high places as it did to our ancestors Adam and Eve. These include its characteristics, causes, attractions, benefits, and effects on us and others before we outgrow it as a fading flower with hidden thorns.

For Adam and Eve, our human ancestors, evil came in the form of a mouthwatering promise of advanced knowledge. But it was based on falsehood, a deception. Lucifer the devil and fallen angel, was only taking advantage of their innocence to cause their downfall. This is what happens to us on a daily basis, a lie, disguised as truth.

Let us avoid the easy approach to the understanding of evil so that we will always overcome it in any manner that it may approach us, as it did to Cain, the brother of Abel.

Let us see how God recorded the evil that confronted Cain, for which he slew his brother Abel. Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. 4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: 5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

We immediately draw and inference here, evil people attack and may even kill those they know are better than themselves. The Bible in part is written as the psychology of life, the principles of life, using historical accounts.

SUCCESS AND GOD’S FAVOR ATTRACT EVIL

Evil often is often the envy that comes with God's favour and success in our lives. When people are not happy with our success and God’s good report of our lives on earth, they may try to eliminate us or may even kill us as they killed Abel. Cain had a helper, but this shall be a topic in itself, so we move.

So, you are attacked on the basis of your acceptance by God to the envy of your attacker, the evil or satanic individuals.

EVIL, AS A MEANS OF GOD TRAINING HIS CHILDREN

This is the most encompassing reason for the existence of evil in our times. We shall find out how passing through evil is the route to everlasting life. For us to be able to do this properly, we shall examine God’s doctrine of human husbandry. That is, we shall examine the circumstances under which God breeds humans from infancy until they become angels.

This examination of our existence from ancient times to the modern, through summer and winter, day and night, Christ and Lucifer, the good and the bad, is important in our total understanding of the nature, the uses, the benefits, and the pitfalls of evil.

This is the subject of our next post, The batch process of breeding humans. How does God combine the evil ones and the righteous ones in the human race through the ages for mutual benefit?

We have the opportunity to learn forgiveness for those who offend us because they exist in our midst. They in turn learn to be upright through our strength of character. Righteousness, Christ!

To what ratio does he combine the good and the bad in a given period and within the same geographical location? Find out in the next post. or subscribe to our YouTube channel for the video of the next post through this link. GET READY FOR JESUS
